Commissioning of the NNPC / MPN SFDP Platforms and the Foundation Laying Ceremony for SKILLBASE

His Excellency Dr. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFR, commissioned the NNPC/MPN Satellite Field Development Project Platforms, ABANG & ITUT, fabricated by Nigerdock Nigeria Plc, at its Snake Island Integrated Free Zone in Lagos. The President also used the occasion to lay the foundation for the Skillbase, Lagos Deep Water Shore Base. 
The two platforms are the first fully integrated decks to be fabricated, pre-commissioned, and tested entirely in Nigeria. They are part of 3 well-head platforms in the Satellite Fields Development Project – Phase I of MPN which seeks to recover hydrocarbons from viable undeveloped fields within the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC /Mobil Producing Nigeria Joint Venture’s acreage.
