Jagal to Build Iconic Bridge
Lagos, Nigeria 01/08/2011
Jagal Nigeria Limited has been awarded the project to design and build an iconic pedestrian bridge across the Lekki Expressway between the new Black Diamond Hotel and Mobil House in Victoria Island, Lagos. The bridge will have a steel superstructure and external cladding fabricated at Jagal Group’s Nigerdock fabrication yard while the stair towers will be built with reinforced concrete columns.
The new link bridge will be set to stand out in the City as the only pedestrian bridge of its kind as concrete bridges are the standard being used on all major highways. The Black Diamond Hotel is a 250 room serviced residence exclusively used by ExxonMobil in Nigeria. The new bridge will allow resident staff at the Hotel to walk safely from their residences across the Lekki Expressway to their offices within a few minutes.
